  • Workshop Host - “Basic Physics and Alchemy of Oil Painting,” at PSU. Free to the public.
  • Retreat Host/Organizer - 3 day Research Trips to Seattle, where 8 PSU students go to study curatorial practices and contemporary art exhibits. Free to students, sponsored by the Student Activities and Leadership Program at PSU.

  • Volunteer Assistant Coordinator - Drawing Club at PSU, a student-run drawing collective. Organizes exhibitions and drawing events. Organized and brought weekly figure drawing sessions to PSU, entirely free and open to the public - sponsored by the PSU Art Dept.

2007

  • No Human Being is Illegal and Russian Impressions. Curator. A dual group show at Food for Thought Student Gallery, featuring works of homeless youth from p:ear, PSU students, and Friends of Russian Culture.
  • The Modern Myth Exhibit. Assistant Curator for Jon Peloso. A juried group exhibit featuring 13 artists responding to a theme chosen at random. Shown in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
  • The Volunteer Show. Curator. Selected works from the volunteer staff managing the Food for Thought Student Gallery. Artists: Garrett Price, Rochelle Koivunen, Pete Yahnke, and myself.

2006

  • Paper Politics. Co-Curator. Paper Politics is an International Political Printmaking Collective, organized by Josh McPhee, NY. The Portland showing was displayed at the Food for Thought Student Gallery.
  • Air. Curator. A group show at the Food for Thought Student Gallery. Artists and poets respond to the theme: Air. Pathos Literary Magazine hosted poetry/performance at the opening reception.
  • Place Where Walls are Erected. A dual exhibition of Gregory Nipper and Jessica Walker’s photography of decaying walls in Guatemala. Proceeds went to benefit charities in Guatemala.
  • Friendship Balloons. An exhibition/performance at the Food for Thought Student Gallery of hundreds of drawings on balloons by Tim Nikodemus and Jessica Eastburn. Opening reception hosted by the Drawing Club at PSU.
